Sustainability & Resilience Commission - March 2025 Meeting
Join us for our 2nd of 6 annual Sustainability & Resilience Commission ("SRC") meetings of 2025. These meetings are free and open to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
This meeting is held in person at Richmond Public Library (101 E Franklin St.) in the Annex Room located in the basement. However, a Microsoft Teams link will be provided once you RSVP for anyone who wishes to attend virtually.

Climate Funding Convening: Navigating Climate Funding in the Dark
Join the Office of Sustainability Virtually on February 20th @4:00 for our next Richmond Climate Funding Convening!
This year’s theme, "Navigating in the Dark," is designed to help organizations feel confident applying for funding in uncertain times. Our keynote speaker, Amy Turner, Director of the Cities Climate Law Initiative at the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law and Senior Advisor to the Sustainable Cities Fund, will share insights and expertise on navigating the complex funding landscape.

Grant writing tips to strengthen your proposals.
Opportunities to collaborate and network with city staff and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) across Richmond.

Towards Environmental Justice: Learning, Honoring, Acting
As we approach the second anniversary of adopting RVAgreen 2050 by City Council, we invite you to join us for our event, "Toward Environmental Justice: Learning, Honoring, Acting,"
We will learn about Environmental Justice, its connection to climate issues, and the efforts made by the city and community for real change. This event will also introduce the Environmental Justice Tours scheduled for early spring 2025 in each Richmond district. These tours will help residents and neighbors understand how pollution affects local communities, particularly those that are most impacted.
During the event, attendees can contribute ideas, suggest locations, and provide comments to help shape the tours planned for March 2025.

SDS Mayoral Press Event
Celebrate the environmental achievements of the Richmond Office of Sustainability and Mayor Stoney at City Hall!
This event will introduce the Richmond Sustainable Design Standards (SDS), a newly adopted set of guidelines that establishes sustainable design criteria for all City-led projects and projects built on City-owned property. Mayor Stoney and the Office of Sustainability will discuss how these standards will help shape Richmond’s built environment with a focus on climate resilience and sustainability.

Sustainability & Resilience Commission - November 2024 Meeting
The Richmond Sustainability & Resilience Commission (“SRC”) is a 10-member public commission tasked advancing climate action in Richmond. The SRC collaborates with the Richmond Office of Sustainability to implement the RVAgreen 2050 Climate Equity Action Plan 2030 and holds 6 annual meetings that are free and open to the public.
